Superdad bath bomb, Lush

So my Lush kitchen order arrived not that long ago with 2 Two Timing Tart bubble bars, 2 All that Jas bath bombs and this Superdad bath bomb.

Upon opening the box and joyfully sniffing each product in turn I was absolutely delighted and though it was the nicest smelling bundle I have purchased. I just could not pick which one smelt the best and couldn't wait to get in the tub.

This bath bomb just smells so lovely. To me it's quite powdery and the Guaiacwood is really pronouced. It's howI imagine a powdery Lynx would smell but strangely I didn't find it a masculine scent but quite sweet.

In the bath I could tell it was quite a nourishing bath bomb.

BUT the scent just died!!! It literally went from smelling so gorgeous and looking so inviting but the scent literally just evaporated.
Heart break💔

The colours were beautiful and I was left with gorgeous turquoise water.

 

Verdict: I wouldn't buy again based on the fact that it doesn't smell strong enough in the bath. 

Scent: 2/10 (would of been 10 if it hung about in the tub!)

Visual performance: 8/10

Rainbow bath bomb, Bomb cosmetics

Yes I know. I am a traitor! Or at least thats what my die hard Lush family will think.

This is a very pretty bath bomb by Bomb Cosmetics. A much cheaper but in my opinion more beautiful looking bath bomb by Lush. I know this company has been around a while because I can remember buying a gift set for a friend when I was quite young.

I  know that this company sells vegan friendly products because despite my fiancé knowing I have an obsession with Lush, he bought me some products for Christmas by BC. I think he was hoping I would fall in love with this brand and my wallet would be a bit fuller!

So, I  tried out a sweet little box of chocolate scented treats which were bath creamers and mallows I think. I  did not enjoy them because they didn't transform my bath in terms of scent which is most important to me.  I  just wanted to use them all up so I could go back to indulging in a Lush bath!

Recently however I have been trying to decrease my spending on bath products so thought I would try out BC products again. I had a nose on the website and saw they updated the Web pages to include the vegan logo. (Yay!). I  popped into my local stockists and purchased the most wonderfully scented bombs I could.

Unfortunately, after double checking I realised they are not a 100% vegan company and in my haste looking out the various products on their website I somehow only managed to click on all the pages that were vegan products so yeahhh. My bad!

Anyway the only vegan product out of the photo above is the one I am about to review!  ( I PROMISE )

SOOOO

I was in 2 minds about this product during my bath.
I  liked it.
I didn't love it.
Hmmmm.
It was nice that it was pretty & it was a combination of a bath bomb and a bath creamer. So excellent value for money if you compare with Lush.

I liked the scent BUT I could tell that the bath was going to need a good clean almost straight away which doesn't make a very relaxing bath.

Once I got out(&gave the bath a good scrub) I thought yes I will buy again.

Yet when my hair was drying I noticed that it was probably going to be greasy and by next day I would look like I rubbed oils into my hair.  I  try to wash my hair every other day but it was impossible to of not washed the grease out.

Therfore I can safely say I would not buy this again.

Although to be fair to BC my partner bought me a body polisher from there as well and its HEAVENLY and I  have 2 tubs of the stuff!!!

I  may also be biased because I hate oily baths and refuse to even buy Lush bath oils again!

& long lasting 2 in 1 BATH BOMB MELT!!!

Indulgent caramel scent and creamy, silky water.
I think it's wonderful how long it takes to melt. I don't like watching 💰fizz away in seconds.  I bought 4 of these after my initial treat. It would be incredible paired with Butterball in my opinion, I am looking forward to it.

Ultaviolet bubble bar, Lush

This UV bubble bar was released as part of the 2015 Mothers day range.

To look at, bubble bar didn't interest me very much at all hence why it took me until mid 2016 to try it out! (The one used in this review was purchased 2016).

When the Easter range I had been so eager to dive into was finally online I snapped everything up (except Bouncy Bunny shower jelly) but this bubble bar nearly didn't make it into my order as nothing excited me. & being priced at £4.75 didn't help.

Whilst using in the bath I wasn't enthusiastic about the scent. Some bloggers have likened it to the sweet scent of Parma Violets my favourite scent as a child but I didn't pick that up at all!

My initial whiff totally put me off for a few months and the dull complexion of the bar seemed like I wastes money on a bath I wouldn't enjoy.

The smell in the bath was quite smokey/ earthy with a hint of violet.

The bath water turned a lovely purple and even though I uses a small piece the smell was strong, it was nourishing and very bubbly!

I  think this would be a fabulous product for those who like the smell! You could quater this bar and still have a blanket of bubbles, enough oils and scents to be happy with. If like me you don't like too many bubbles you could possibly do it into eights!!!?

Anyway long story short I wouldn't use again for myself, but I would invest in it again for my son to have a bubble bath.

Perhaps Lush should expand their Fathers day range and add this to the collection as it was a manly scent and design in my opinion!

Flutterby bubble bar, Lush

Where do I begin with this gorgeous chunk of happiness??

I  just love this. Its one of my favourite Lush bubble bars.

Firstly, it has such a beautiful scent. Released as part of an Oxford Street exclusive for the 2016 mothers day it is part of the same scent family as the Roller bath bomb and the Yummy mummy shower cream. Although personally I think the scents are all quite different!

The Flutterby bubble bar is just a lovely rich, creamy stawberry  scent.
The Roller bomb seems alot more fruitier, like fresh stawberries.
Yummy mummy is more similar to Flutterby in my opinion but with a subtle hint of chocolate.

The visual performance of this bubble bar is a lovely pink shade.

Lastly, this is incredibly nourishing. I was so surprised as unlike the bubbleroons, it doesn't have a layer of creamy essential oils sandwiched in the middle. However, it beats almost every other bubble bar I have tried. Its a rival of Peeping Santa.

Its also a bar you could half or possibly third. It created oodles of silky bubbles to snuggle under and it was a bath I certainly was reluctant to get out of!

Verdict
Scent: 10/10
Visual performance: 6/10
Nourishing: 10/10

I  would highly recommend this, but I would much rather tell you all its horrible so I can buy them all !!

Yuzu&Cocoa bubbleroon

This review features the gorgeous scented bubbleroon "Yuzu&Cocoa".

I adore this smell! It reminds me of Terrys Chocolate Orange something I obviously haven't had in a long time as I have been vegan a few years now!
It's almost so good you could eat it 😍🍰
It was REALLY moisturising you could feel how nourishing this product is after just a few seconds under the tap. To me its on par with Peeping Santa for the silkiness of the bubbles and the water you can indulge in.

HOWEVER I  could not smell this product hardly at all in the bath! I could only smell it when I brought the bar right up to my nose. So disappointing given how wonderful the scent is!

For me I purchase Lush products (bombs, bubble bars) because I like to transform my bath mainly. Firstly in terms of scent, secondly visually performance and lastly how nourishing it is.

I didn't get a strong scent and the pee coloured water was entertaining but not exciting and all though this bubbleroon gets top marks for moisturising, it lacks the scent transformation I really look for that I could enjoy in other products.

Therefore I would much rather invest in products much more pongy!

This product is suitable for those who put skin softening properties first.

Verdict: Highly moisturising but lacks in scent and appearance.

Limecrime "Riot" lipstick

If you are unsure whether to invest in Limecrimes Velvetines liquid matte lipstick (urh thats a mouthful) then hopefully this review will help.

The shade in the photo is Riot. While personally I am not to keen on this shade for me I was suppose to buy a nude, I  actually reallyyy like this stuff.

Firstly, it glides on really well you have to be careful not to put too much on at once as a little goes along way. Therefore this is a good value for money product after the initial expense, especially since if you, same as me like to switch up your lip colour frequently.

It smells SooOoO good!! I think I even accidently tasted a little and it was good.

It has excellent staying power as good as a lip stain. I love the design of the product too.

Some people don't believe this is a vegan company due to one error on a mislabelled product. Some people do not like the ethics of the business owner because she was accused of dressing up at a party as a Nazi.

I think there are many companies that I and other regular vegans purchase from who's owners are morally inept.

Think how much we all love a soy frappucino from Starbucks. Think how much tax they avoided! Yet we all buy their products on a daily basis.

(Actually I dont because  I hate coffee shops but you get my drift).
